Stylish Frames That Take Retro to a Whole New Level
The new line of hyper-trendy looking frames from Prodesign Denmark (the 4th Dimension 4684-86 line/model pictured above), will soon be available at Beaumont Vision in Portland! Described by the designer-manufacturer as being, “Cool and funky acetate frames for the urban male and female, who want to stand out and make a statement,” the new frames from Prodesign all feature super-hip colors in striped patterns located in several parts.
The logic underpinning the design looks something like this: craft quiet, simple frames that give way to noisy, exciting but minimal details in places like the hinges of the frames. Though the striped areas look just like colored material layered on top, they are actually “achieved by making a layer structure on the end piece in 5 different layer colors,” according to the manufacturer.
And what’s more, the Prodesign line will soon feature all-black frames, a true first-time effort from the Denmark-based designer. The more colorful frames, however, come in just three shapes, with a set of four colors highlighting the accent areas of each.
